Although a very nice GE Cafe style stove, nonetheless, protective paper lay on all my hardwood floors and the clutter of the remodel has gotten to me. It feels chaotic because nothing is organized. I have come to the realization that the remodel has made it impossible to feel christmas in our new home. My suggestion for those of you that are thinking about remodeling, think about the perfect time of year to do it... if there is such a time?
I needed to leave the chaos so I went shopping. A little retail theory always makes me happy. Close by is the Marshalls. They had ornaments...
rows and rows, of ornaments...
I bought a few crackle, light blue and white ornaments and made this...
an ornament window. Since I really like this entry window, I wanted to show case it. I dug around in my christmas stuff and found some silver velvet ribbon to match the lead glass window and hung the ornaments with wrapping paper ribbon. I think the rich wood color compliments the silver and blue, and green ornaments.
I know it is not much but at least it has christmas charm. The green cracked silver ornament is my favorite. I also found a snowflake at Menards while picking up caulk!

Love the decorations in the window that was a creative idea but , I WANT YOUR STOVE!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeletehave a great weekend and just remember about the chaos: This to shall pass!

ReplyDeleteRenovating sucks, just like labor. But the end result is worth it.
You'll always remember the first Christmas in this home.
I love those ornaments...
