Everyone's new years resolution is always the same, "I'm going to eat right, exercise and loss weight." NOT ME. I've decide for my New Year's Resolution that I am going to visit 12 breakfast places in 12 months. I'm going to eat and I am going to eat my favorite meal of the day, BREAKFAST! Could there be a better news year resolution? I don't know why I haven't thought of this sooner...
I am going to go to my favorite places and try some highly recommended new breakfast spots! I will picture the place, the food I ate, and link up their menu to my blog!
I start with where I have frequented WAY to much- Walker Brothers Pancake House! You can't live in the chicagoland area and have never been to a Walker Brothers for breakfast. My friend Becky and I used to work out together and then go for breakfast (that probably defeated the purpose but whatever we were young). We no longer work out together but we did decided to ring in the new year right!
Lucky for us, our half way meeting point is a Walker Brothers Pancake House. As we caught up on each other lives, I ate the world famous Dutch Baby...
A thin and delicate, plate-filling oven-baked pancake dusted with powdered sugar and served with lemon on the side. Our lightest pancake treat! So says the Walker brothers menu- they describe it best- I also had strawberries and bananas on the side. Becky had...
Chocolate chippies- rich bittersweet chips in the batter, dusted with powdered sugar and topped with thick whipped cream- minus the whip cream and powder this time. That's just how Becky likes them.
Join the party and post your favorite breakfast spot! Leave a comment where I can find it! If you live in the chicagoland area, I am trying to visit new breakfast spots, please comment on places I can try. Thanks!
It's Tuesday and the Savvy Suburbanite has returned! I love to take pictures of food, how about you? Link up your favorite photos!
Here's a snap shot of the ground rules
