I have NEVER been one to celebrate all the Hallmark holidays. It is just not my style, but since I gave birth
to my little peanut I have decided to indulge in a few festivities. Why not, right?
I was once an art teacher and the creative juices are always a flowing- in my head (mostly they stay put because they are way too elaborate and expensive to go forth with), but as luck would have it, I can also create something for a mere $2.00 and a whole LOT of elbow grease.
HOLIDAY: St Patty's Day
MATERIALS: cardboard box, scissor, yarn, and a marker
(the only item I purchased was the yarn from Michael's and I paid 1.99 for it)
I drew a a three leaf clover on a thick cardboard box, cut it out and taped my yarn on the back of it. With the yarn I started to wrap, this way- that way, I was thinking Celtic knot pattern and after wrapping for a while it became tedious and I was getting frustrated because the yarn was NOT staying put.
In order to finish this project I put a green shirt on my son for inspiration and he helped in the BEST way he knows how. Messing up the house. It sure was FUN!
I love how little boys play!
He was finished after twenty minutes and it was enough of a break time for me. I finished wrapping it, into the evening and it turned out like this...
