During my pregnancy I have had several ultra sounds. At 18 weeks I had one and I asked the tech and the doctor the sex of the baby. They both thought it was a boy. I went home and broke the news to my husband. He seemed very disappointed that we were not having a girl. He was sure it was a girl. Maybe just optimistic because he was longing for one.
I was excited and I went shopping for blues and greens and bought matching pajamas and hats for the boys. I also needed to buy summer clothes in the 0-3 month range. Got some great stuff!
This week I had another ultra sound. My level II. The tech was doing the examine and my father was watching my son at my house and he kept calling me asking where he could find my son's so and so. Back to the small talk with the tech about how tired I was. She reminded me that I had a rambunctious 2 year old boy at home. Then she asked if I knew what I was having, she didn't want to give it away if I wanted it to be a surprise. I told I knew the sex of the baby and she let me know she was through with the examine and my little girl looks great!
Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?
a girl? I was dumb founded. I was told I was having a boy. "Are you sure it's a girl?" Yes and a different doctor confirmed it. I immediately called my husband. I swear I could hear him get all chocked up on the other line.
He swears he knew it was a girl all alone and... well he was right. That man of mine has the best luck, after all he did marry me :)
I guess I am going shopping again! This time for pinks, purples and reds.
